A little vintage for you...
* Current Read: 'Bel Canto' by Ann Patchett; 'The Boy' by Roald Dahl
* Newest Tune: The new Sarah Harmer CD...'I'm a Mountain'...kind of a mix of blue grass and folk. I love it so much! Then again, I love everything by her...so there you go.
* Currently Obsessing Over: My new moisturizing hand soaps from Bath & Body Works...I feel that it is important to have nice soap around me. Is this a strange thing? AND vintage fabrics...I'm on a mission to find more scraps to use on cards!

Welcome the new addition..."Smiling Pink"
There are 6 indentical cards in this little set...and, as always, 6 clear envelopes for mailing. It is 5in x 3 3/4in...and is lovingly made with embroidery floss and a vintage fabric found at an estate sale by my friend Faith.
(I came into it on my birthday...my gift was wrapped in it!)

So, a few things:
We are now, as of yesterday, officially a one car family! We lent Brad's car to a friend who just moved back to town from CA. and we ended up selling it to him all together! My heart fluttered a bit in anxiety when Brad called and said it was official...but I really believe this is the best for us! And I love that Bradley and I get to spend the mornings driving to work...getting our coffee...saying our sweet good-byes as he runs in the door to his office.
Another benefit and joy to living in a small town...
Also...I now have www.flybabydesigns.com!!! Don't even bother...there's nothing there right now. Oh, but there will be...and I'll surely let you know when there is! Again...a flutter of anxiety...but it's so good. (And...so sorry, mom, if you're finding out this important info on my blog...I forgot to tell you yesterday!) And thank you to all my blogging friends...you're own creativity and the encouragement and understanding of mine is imeasurable! So, just wanted to say thanks for that.

Wonderful news - you really are flying, baby! And I think it sounds grand to get to drive to work with your honey - the only time it may get tricky is when you need to go one way and he is going the other. I admire y'all very much.
And I adore - really love - 'Boy' by Roald Dahl. Such a good one there. And I think 'Bel Canto' is the only Ann Patchett I haven't read. Have you read her memoir about her friend Lucy - "Truth and Beauty"? You must, it's just amazing.
